About IBO
The International Business Organization of Osaka, Inc. (IBO) is a nonprofit organization jointly established in 1990 by the Osaka Prefectural Government(OPG) and corporations located in the prefecture.
It was founded to provide support to Osaka businesses in expanding their operations abroad, facilitate the entry of overseas businesses into the market here in Osaka, and to promote economic exchange between Osaka and various countries and regions in the world.
IBO maintains overseas offices in Rotterdam (the Netherlands), Singapore, Shanghai and Hong Kong (China), San Francisco (U.S.A.), and Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).
Through the network of these offices, IBO provides assistance to Japanese corporations in developing their business operations abroad; provides trade, investment and various other information to overseas businesses considering establishing operations in Osaka; and promotes bilateral economic exchange programs, such as introducing potential business partners.
